Case 54 – case B

Case B

35 year old female presented with cervical lymphadenopathy and no B symptoms. Histology confirmed hodgkins disease.  PET showed cervical and axillary lymphadenopathy, but no further areas of disease identified.  Bloods showed FBC -normal, LDH 340, ESR 43.  How would you treat this patient?

a) 6 ABVD

b) 4 ABVD + 30GY

c) 2 ABVD + 20 GY

d) 3 ABVD

e) 2 ABVD + 2 escalated BEACOPP + 30GY

Can you explain your choice of treatment? (there is not necessarily one correct answer!)
