Our patient has been diagnosed with stage 2B classical Hodgkin’s. Using the German Hodgkin’s study group criteria he has early unfavourable disease.
We followed the German approach to treatment and he had 4 cycles of ABVD and radiotherapy to the involved field.
Pulmonary function tests were performed, pre, mid and post treatment and did not show any change. He was advised to stop smoking and he did!
A pet scan 3 months following treatment was PET negative.
Our patient has been followed up regularly in clinic and unfortunately 2 years after his original diagnosis he attends clinic complaining of increasing tiredness and drenching night sweats.
How would you proceed? Is there any other history you would like to know?
